ABSTRACT [2]: The Indian Subcontinent has been an important center of Hadith sciences in the Muslim world throughout history. This article focuses on two Indian Hadith scholars who made tremendous contributions to the study of the most celebrated book of Hadith ever, Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhāri. The first scholar, Hadrat Mawlana Aḥmad ʿAlī Sahāranpūri, published the first printed edition of the book in history using early printing technologies. The second scholar, Hadrat Mawlana Dr. Taqī al-Dīn al-Nadwi al-Maẓāhiri, carried Hadrat Sahāranpūri’s work into the modern age with a new edition that has been published in recent times.
